Our School Vision

Christ the Redeemer Primary School – A pathway to a successful future

In a celebration of partnership, the staff, governors, parents and pupils will strive to create an educational setting which enables our pupils to grow in wisdom, understanding and mutual respect.

We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school direct with any queries you may have.

Christ The Redeemer Primary School and Nursery Unit

Christ the Redeemer Primary School opened in September 1999 to cater for the educational needs of the children in the then new parish of Lagmore, Dunmurry.  Built in just six weeks, Christ the Redeemer primary school initially housed one principal, two teachers a caretaker and 37 pupils in temporary buildings at Lagmore Drive.

In September 2003, staff and pupils moved into a state of the art school with an enrolment of over 320 pupils ranging from P1 to P5.

To date we have almost 700 pupils.

Our vision within has always been to benefit and encourage each child with them at the centre of our teaching.  We strive to develop their desire to encourage a lifelong love of learning, for all children to achieve their aspirations and potential via challenging and stimulating experiences. Within our school we strive to motivate and inspire children on a daily basis.

Our ethos surrounds positivity and effective relationships within the community, creating a partnership for the welfare of the children, where they feel content and eager to learn.

We hope you enjoy and thank you for the time taken to explore our website.
