Our Mission

Article 17: Every child has a right to get information that is important to their well-being.

Article 28: Every child has a right to an education

We value every child and we aim to ensure that they access a wide range of experiences that enables them to have access to a successful future.  We understand that children learn best when they are happy and confident. Our staff work in partnership with the children and parents to develop a set of core values and beliefs, which in turn create a positive learning environment for all children to reach their full potential.

Therefore when planning lessons we recognise the uniqueness of every child with the main aim to offer a broad and balanced curriculum in line with the Education (NI) Order 2006.  In Christ the Redeemer we deliver the Northern Ireland Primary Curriculum as statutory in all schools across the North of Ireland.

The curriculum places a great deal of emphasis on the development of positive attitudes and skills for learning to develop children for future life which is embroidered into our daily practice.

We involve the promotion of thinking skills and personal capabilities with key cross curricular links throughout the delivery of our teaching in all key stages. These are:

  • Foundation Stage (P1/P2)
  • Key Stage 1 (P3/P4)
  • Key Stage 2 (P5/P6/P7)
