1. If children are unwell, please contact the school as early as possible in the morning that they are unwell.
2. If pupils suffer from sickness overnight, they must not attend school the next day.
3. If pupils are ill during school hours, we will contact you on your first emergency number or subsequent numbers should you be unavailable. Contact numbers for emergencies should be an address relatively close to school.
What do I do if I need to take my child out of school?
If for a medical purpose, you will need to inform the child’s class teacher, preferably by letter. Children should not be taken out of school early unless it is an emergency. Please contact the office prior to your arrival and we will endeavour to have your child ready for collection.
What if my child needs medication in school?
Children are not allowed to bring medication to school (this includes cough / sore throat sweets, eye drops for hayfever) and our staff are not allowed to administer them unless your child has asthma, then arrangements are to be made with the Headteacher. If unsure about your child’s medication, please contact the school office.
Where can I find lost property?
All uniform (preferrably all belongings) should be named.
There is a rail of lost property outside the dinner hall and parents/children can check for any lost items.
